DIXON – For the next month, Sauk Valley Bank’s Dixon location will collect food and money to benefit Buddy Bags of Dixon.

The bank, 300 Walton Drive in Dixon, will collect non-perishable food items and small, pop-top easy-open containers, in addition to cash donations.

Buddy Bags of Dixon is a local organization that sends food home each Friday with some Dixon Public Schools students who qualify for free or reduced lunches. Each student in the program is sent home with enough food for four meals and two snacks.

The bank is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday.

For more information, call 815-284-2300.

The bank will collect food through March 14.
