Senior Garrett Liebing, 18, of Amboy, is Amboy High School’s February Student of the Month. He is the son of Greg and Amy Liebing, and has three sisters, Lauren, 24, Hillary, 22, and Kaitlyn, 17.
Favorite class: Math, because it challenges me
Top teacher: Cynthia Carlson, math. She’s a good teacher, because she finds funny and unique ways to remember equations and things.
Favorite actor: Mark Wahlberg
Favorite movie: “Warrior”
Favorite TV show: “That ’70s Show”
Extracurriculars: I have participated in 4 years of football, baseball my freshman year, and wrestling my senior year, also National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society.
Trading places: JJ Watt from the Texans, because he is a great athlete and role model. It would be awesome playing with, and against, some of the best football players in the NFL.
After graduation: I plan to attend the University of Wisconsin-Platteville to study engineering.
Paycheck: I work for a local contractor doing carpentry work. I have a good time with the guys I work with.
Best friends: Emmitt Hicks, Damon Quest, and Tyson Powers. We call ourselves the fab four. We do everything together and never have a dull moment.
Favorite singer: Luke Bryan
Hobbies: Hunting, fishing, weight-lifting, and playing sports
Favorite outdoor activity: Riding four-wheelers and hunting

Hangouts: I like to hang out at my cabin, because there is so much land and wooded areas, and it also has a pond I can fish in.
