Primary voting deadlines near

Area residents are reminded that Feb. 18 will be the last day to register to vote in the March 18 primary election.

Voter registration applications that are mailed to county clerks’ offices must have a postmark of no later than Feb. 18 for applicants to vote in the primary. Feb. 18 also is the last day for citizens outside the United States to apply for an absentee ballot, and March 18 is the last day for citizens inside the U.S. to apply.
