Wool to feature at quilt guild's February meeting

FORRESTON – A program and make and take about felted wool will be presented at the Country Crossroads Quilt Guild's next meeting at 7 p.m. Feb.17 at Forreston Grove Church, 7246 Freeport Road.

The project will be free, and guests can attend the meeting for $5.

Guild member Sandra Davis will introduce participants to felted wool and show examples of her work. The make and take is a pin cushion. Participants will need to bring a small sewing kit with scissors, embroidery needles, pins, a thimble, and a pencil. They also are welcome to bring any wool projects, finished or not, for show and tell.

A potluck dinner will start at 5:30 p.m., while warm-ups, featuring the guild's mystery quilt, will be at 6:30 p.m. Also, a guild bookmark listing all of the programs and workshops for the year will be available.
