Elizabeth Jane McKim

MORRISON – Elizabeth Jane "Betty" McKim, 90, of Morrison, died Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, at Pleasant View Rehabilitation and Care Center in Morrison.

She was born Sept. 9, 1923, in Morrison to Roy Myron and Grace (Diehl) Twombly. She married James C. McKim on June 3, 1947, at West Point, N.Y.; he died Jan. 11, 2003. She was a secretary at Morrison High School, owned a silk screen business with her husband and worked for Paddock Cleaners. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Morrison.

She is survived by her daughter, Jean Propst of Platteville, Wis.; sons James (Mary) McKim Jr. of Fort Mill, S.C. and Joseph (Noriko) McKim of Yokohama, Japan; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by a sister, Lola Mae Shirk.

A gathering begins at 12:30 p.m. and the funeral at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison. Retired pastor Rev. James Camp will officiate. Burial follows in Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison.

Memorials may be made to Pleasant View Rehabilitation and Care Center.
