KENO, Ore. – Gerald Gene “Jerry” Hollinger, 84, of Keno, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, at his home. He retired as the owner of a trucking business.

Jerry was born Jan. 5, 1930, in Chicago. He served in the Army from 1949 to 1951. He married Mary Jo Ellis in 2005 in Klamath Falls, Ore. He attended Sacred Heart Church in Klamath Falls.

Survivors include his wife; brother, Paul (Jean) Hollinger of Keno; children, Paula (Jerry) Rehkemper of Highland, Victor Scott (Teresa Mae) Hollinger of Ozark, Mo., Poppy Hollinger (George) Near of Zephyrhills, Fla., and Jason (Waynett) Hollinger of Dixon; stepdaughters, Billie Charlene (Kevin) Smith of Keno, and Bobbie Jo (Dennis) Birnel of Spanaway, Wash.; six nieces and nephews; 29 grandchildren and their spouses; and great-grandchildren.

The funeral was Jan. 14 at Davenport’s Chapel of the Good Shepherd in Klamath Falls. Burial was at Klamath Memorial Park in Klamath Falls.
