LYNDON – Authorities responded on Wednesday to an ammonia leakage at Gold Star FS in Lyndon. But no one was taken to the hospital, a company official said.

Tony Marchand of Gold Star FS, which sells agricultural products around Illinois, confirmed the incident.

"It was a small event fortunately," he said. "We got ahold of the proper authorities. Nine people were taken to the fire department to be checked out. No one went to the hospital. It's one of those things where we err on the side of caution."

Authorities couldn't be reached for comment.
