MORRISON – Betty Jane Marshall, 85, of Resthave Nursing and Retirement Home in Morrison, died Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at the nursing home. She was employed by General Electric Co. in Morrison for 25 years, retiring in 1988.

Betty was born April 29, 1928, in Morrison, the daughter of John B. and Mabel (Terry) Fredericks. She married Norman H. Marshall on Nov. 15, 1947, in Morrison. He preceded her in death July 27, 2002. She was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison.

Survivors include two daughters, Jean Reed of Morrison and Cheryl (Robert) Corzatt of Oquawka; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Loretta Schipper of Morrison and Dorothy Zimmerman of Dixon.

She also was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra J. Marshall; and one brother, Harold Fredericks.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday and the funeral at 11 a.m. Friday at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison, with the Rev. Bob Burton, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison. Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison is handling arrangements.

Memorials have been established to Bethesda Lutheran Church and Resthave Nursing and Retirement Home.
