Good to hear about honors for ‘shop man’
In response to the Jan. 16 article titled “Honor cements Fulton grad’s legacy,” finally some positive news. Not about puppy dogs, ladies’ teas or food pantries. All these are newsworthy enough, but it’s nice to hear of a “shop man” being honored.
In the days of driving shop teachers out of their school basements for the making of “room” for more computer labs, there are some hanging on. Good going, Jerry Woods.
While I got the keypad (see, we ole nail benders know how to use computers, too), hats off to Dixon High School’s building trades program.
And WACC in Sterling, keep building those lives of the non-college bound. I’m an ole nail bender (33 years), retired, and I loved it.
