Orchids topic of extension program

OREGON – Candice Miller, University of Illinois Extension horticulture educator, will present "Growing Orchids Indoors," from 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 6 at the Ogle County Extension office, 421 W. Pines Road.

Discussion will focus on the easiest orchids to grow that are best suited to conditions; avoiding mistakes encountered by new growers; keeping plants healthy; and basic orchid-growing techniques. Participants are welcome to bring a few plants to class for questions and discussion. Opportunities for hands-on re-potting of orchids will be provided.
