AURORA (AP) — Police in the suburban Chicago community of Aurora are investigating two separate fatal shootings that took place just an hour apart.
Aurora police officials say a 20-year-old man was pronounced dead at a hospital after being shot in the head inside a restaurant bathroom after a fight Monday evening.
Police say two men were seen running from the restaurant, but so far no arrests have been made. They believe the shooting was drug related.
Nearly an hour later, authorities say a 22-year-old woman was shot in the abdomen during a "domestic-related" incident. Police say she was arguing with a 45-year-old man outside a home when she was shot. She was pronounced dead at a hospital.
The man is in custody, but no charges have been filed.
