Jeremy P. Walters, 39, of Sterling; 10:31 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of Seventh Avenue; Ogle County warrant for contempt of court; taken to Whiteside County Jail.

Amanda L. Hughes, 40, of Sterling; 7:58 a.m. Friday at 12th Avenue and East Second Street; failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident; posted driver’s license as bond.

Marshall N. Doane, 20, of Rock Falls; 5:45 p.m. Friday at East LeFevre Road and 16th Avenue; failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident; given notice to appear in court.

Lucial Romo, 34, of Sterling; 10:31 p.m. Friday at Avenue F and West Fourth Street; no insurance; given notice to appear in court.

Dixon Police

Joshua A. Beckingham, 32, of Dixon; 7:31 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of East Fellows Street; driving while license suspended, operating an uninsured motor vehicle; posted bond and released with notice to appear in court.

Kevin Setchell, 25, of Dixon; 12:20 p.m. Saturday in the 800 block of East Fellows Street; driving under the influence, failure to drive on the right side of the road, no seat belt; processed and released.

Lee County Sheriff

Darel Young, 42, of Sterling; 4:45 p.m. Friday; warrant for three counts of retail theft greater than $300, warrant for three counts of retail theft – subsequent offense; held at Lee County Jail and given notice to appear in court.

Kode Hall, 20, of Sublette; 3:50 p.m. Friday; warrant for aggravated battery, warrant for unlawful restraint; held at Lee County Jail and given notice to appear in court.

Alexander Arthur Torres, 20, of Rochelle; 9:30 a.m. Friday; warrant for domestic battery – bodily harm; posted bond and given notice to appear in court.

Ogle County Sheriff

Desiree Starzyk, 20, of Roscoe; 3:25 a.m. Sunday on state Route 38 in Creston; driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal consumption by a minor, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia; taken to Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.

Martin Hernandez Carrillo, 49, of Rochelle; Saturday at state Route 64 and Pine Rock Road; no valid driver’s license, disobeying police officer; issued citation and released.

Teray Bell, 30, of Rockford; 3:30 a.m. Friday on North Kennedy Hill Road; driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while license revoked, no valid registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle; issued citations and held at Ogle County Jail in lieu of bond.

Thomas J. Pappas, 24, of Rochelle; 3:52 p.m. Friday on South Knoll Road; disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property; taken to Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond.

State Police

Jeremy R. Brown, 19, of Clinton, Iowa; 12:19 p.m. Saturday on state Route 78, .5 miles south of Bunker Hill Road in Whiteside County; improper lane usage, driving too fast for conditions, no insurance; issued citations.

Jan C. Reinmann, 38, of Streator; 1:30 p.m. Saturday on Interstate 39 in Ogle County; driving while license suspended, failure to yield to stationary emergency vehicle; issued individual bond and given notice to appear in court.

Dana R. Schnitzler, 40, of Erie; 3:25 p.m. Friday at Albany and First streets in Erie; no valid driver’s license – expired; issued individual bond and given notice to appear in court.

Reynaldo Martinez, 44, of Sterling; 12:21 a.m. Saturday at First Avenue and Fourth Street in Sterling; driving under the influence, driving under the influence with blood alcohol content greater than .08, aggravated driving under the influence, obstructing identity, driving while suspended, Lee County warrant for rule to show cause, loud exhaust, illegal transportation of alcohol, improper lane usage; held at Whiteside County Jail and given notice to appear in court.

Joseph S. Lira, 31, of Sterling; 12:21 a.m. Saturday at First Avenue and Fourth Street in Sterling; illegal transportation of alcohol; issued individual bond and given notice to appear in court.

Two hurt in crash Saturday

OGLE COUNTY – Two Rockford residents were injured early Saturday in a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 39 in Ogle County.

Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene. An investigation revealed that a 2013 Chevrolet driven by Ryan M, Sense, 31, of Minnesota, struck the rear end of a 1997 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Lorena Sanchez, 25, of Rockford.

Sanchez and her passenger, Victriao Banuelos, 28, were taken by Lynn-Scott-Rock Ambulance to SwedishAmerican Hospital in Rockford. Their conditions were unavailable Sunday. Sense was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed and released on individual bond.

Two-vehicle crash injures two Friday

OGLE COUNTY – Two people were hurt in a two-vehicle crash Friday on state Route 64 in Ogle County.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene at 4:10 p.m. An investigation revealed that a vehicle driven by Victoria Lints, 17, of Chana, was eastbound on Route 64 when the vehicle became stopped sideways in the road because of the road being icy. An eastbound semi tractor trailer driven by Douglas Andrews, 50, of Fort Wayne, Ind., was eastbound and struck Lints’ vehicle. The semi rolled over onto its side into the south ditch.

Lints was taken by Oregon Ambulance to Rochelle Community Hospital with minor injuries. Her condition was unavailable Sunday. Andrews refused treatment. The crash remains under investigation.
