OREGON – AARP will provide trained tax aides to prepare tax returns at Rock River Center, 810 S. 10th St., for those with low to modest incomes.

Sessions start Feb. 4. The service is free and open to all ages by appointment only. AARP membership is not necessary.

The service is not for those who have a business, farm, partnership, or rental property, or who need to file a return for another state.

Registration forms must be completed before the service is rendered. In an effort to keep on schedule, those taking part must arrive at least a half hour before their scheduled appointment. Those without completed forms will be asked to reschedule. Forms can be picked up in advance at the center.

Photo identification is required for each person filing and their dependants. Also needed are a copy of last year’s returns, Social Security cards for the entire household, income statements, and any other official documentation for household members applying to 2013. To make an appointment, call 815-732-3252 or 800-541-5479.
