Byron man charged with sexual abuse

BYRON – A Byron man was being held Wednesday on $250,000 bond after being arrested Tuesday on charges of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and indecent solicitation of a child.

The Ogle County Sheriff’s Department reported that the arrest of Judah E. Pearl, 28, stems from an incident that happened on New Year’s Day. According to a news release, the crime involved a female juvenile in Byron.

Pearl will appear in court Friday.
