AMBOY – Jesse W. Levan, 33, of Amboy, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at KSB Hospital in Dixon.

He was born Sept. 1, 1980, in Sterling. the son of William and Malvina (Hobbs) Levan. He was employed at Green River Oaks Camp Ground in Amboy.

He is survived by his parents of Amboy; his twin brother, Travis Levan of Compton; one sister, Elizabeth (Jason) Adams of Dixon; two nieces, Abby Levan and Kennady Adams; one nephew, Keegan Levan; maternal grandfather, Walter Hobbs Sr. of Princeton; and his girlfriend, Jody Anderson of Amboy.

He was preceded in death by his twin sisters, Betty and Meredith Levan; maternal grandmother, Roberta Hobbs; paternal grandparents, Vernon and Betty Levan; and uncle, Melvin Levan.

Jesse was a friend to many, and always was there with a helping hand.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m., with the family present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Monsignor Thomas Bales officiating. Burial will be at St. Patrick Cemetery in Amboy.

A memorial has been established.
