Area grad to make magic at concert

Magician Tony "Magic Tony" Barnhart will perform during both halves of the Sterling Municipal Symphony Band's 20th annual Evening at the Pops concert Friday at Abiding Word Church.

STERLING – The Sterling Municipal Symphony Band’s 20th annual Evening at the Pops concert will be Friday at Abiding Word Church, 806 E. Lynn Blvd.

Admission is free to listen to the music. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the concert starting at 7 p.m. Magician “Magic Tony” Barnhart will perform during both halves of the concert, as well as with the band, and will do table tricks during the intermission. Barnhart is a MIlledgeville High School graduate, and is a Ph.D. in the psychology department at the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences at Northern Arizona University.

The band will perform marches, Scottish dances, selections from a musical, and other numbers. Call 815-622-1681 for more information.
