Shannon M. Townsend, 29, of Davenport, Iowa; 9:21 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 88; driving too fast for conditions, expired registration sticker; given notice to appear in court. Townsend’s vehicle lost control on the snow covered roadway and struck a guardrail. She was taken to CGH Medical Center for injuries.

Antoinette M. Fernandez, 23, of Sioux City, Iowa; 2:07 a.m. Tuesday on Interstate 88, Lee County; driving with a suspended license; child restraint violation, driving in the wrong lane (excessive use of left lane), violation of minimum speed limit; posted I-bond.

Christine E. Ritthaler, 25, of Davis, Calif; 4:20 p.m. Tuesday on Interstate 39, Ogle County; improper lane usage after sliding in snow and striking a vehicle driven by Manjit Singh, 36, of Blaine, Minn.; no injuries.

Donald L. Orsted, 66, of Mount Morris; 1:24 p.m. Tuesday at Broadway Avenue and Third Street, Sterling; improper lane usage after losing control of his vehicle, leaving the road and striking a tree; no injuries reported.

Wesley D. Bush, 31, of Morrison; 2:25 a.m. Wednesday at U.S. Route 30 and Hillside Road, Whiteside County; driving under the influence, illegal transportation of alcohol, improper lane usage, after losing control of the vehicle and landing in the ditch; posted $100 and driver’s license.

Steven P. Maunder, 53, of Hastings, Neb.; 7:50 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 88, Whiteside County; following too closely after striking a vehicle driven by Alyssa N. Burger, 20, of Glendale Heights; no injuries reported.

Quinton B. Cook, 21, of Baltimore, Ohio; 9:45 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 88, Whiteside County; driving too fast for conditions after leaving the snow covered roadway, rolling once and coming to rest in the north ditch; no injuries reported.

Sergio Alvarez, 48, of Dixon; 9:52 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 39, Ogle County; no valid driver’s license; police stopped to assist him after his vehicle had slid into the ditch.
