Water foundation gives to seniors

STERLING – Whiteside County Senior Center, along with five state Triad organizations, will receive approximately $2,000 from public safety grants from the American Water Charitable Foundation.

The National Association of Triads is a partnership of law enforcement, older adults, and community groups to promote older adult safety and reduce the fear of crime older adults often have. Triad is dedicated to keeping senior citizens safe and improving their quality of life, according to Karla Olson, Illinois American Water president.
