ROCK FALLS – Karen Sue Gilpatrick, 57, of Rock Falls, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago.

Karen was born July 4, 1956 in Dixon to Robert and Ruth (Pritchard) White. She attended Dixon schools, and then Sauk Valley Community College, where she became a licensed practical nurse in 1987. She married Kevin Gilpatrick on April 24, 1976, in Dixon. 

Survivors include her husband, Kevin of Rock Falls; two daughters, Kimberly Sue Gilpatrick of Rock Falls and Kristal Jamie Gilpatrick (Terry Tucker) of Lyndon; and eight grandchildren, Brisa Tucker, 16, Darian Gilpatrick, 13, Tatum Glenn, 11, Brinley Tucker, 10, Eden Glenn, 10, Birgen Tucker, 5, Rylan Steagall, 5, and Brody Tucker, 2.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, and the funeral at 4 p.m. Saturday at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, with the Rev. Scott Porter officiating.
