Dukes’ streak reaches 10

Eastland, Fulton, Prophetstown earn tournament wins

Cal Jarrett scored 14 points, Kyle LeBlanc 11 and Matt Coffey 10 as the Dixon Dukes improved to 10-0 with a 65-35 win over West Carroll on Tuesday at the West Carroll tournament.

Dixon led 19-12 after one quarter, but fell behind 29-27 at the half. The Dukes dominated the second half, outscoring the Thunder (2-7) 22-2 in the third quarter and 16-4 in the fourth.

Isaiah Roby added eight points and Laron Carr six for Dixon. Travis Hartman and Trevor Jones scored 12 points apiece to pace West Carroll.

Forreston tournament

Pearl City 50, Morrison 47: The Mustangs dropped a close game to the Wolves at the Forreston tournament.

Hunter Hamstra led Morrison (4-4) with 17 points, and Bill Lee Greul had 10 points.

T.J. Wingert had 14 points for Pearl City (3-5)

Colmone Classic

Mendota 66, Bureau Valley 55: Parker Neuhalfen tossed in 20 points, and Tommy Johnson added 17 as the Storm (5-3) fell to the Trojans in Spring Valley.

James Carroll finished with 29 points for Mendota (7-2), while Mark Prescott and Ryan Reeder added 10 each.

United Tournament

Prophetstown 47, United 35: Ethan Howard had 14 points, ad Grant Ames added 13 as the Prophets earned a win in Monmouth.

Gary Wynne led United with 11 points.

West Carroll Tournament

Eastland 52, Erie 30: Dalton Shaner scored 17 points, and Skylar Paulson added 10 as the Cougars cruised past the Cardinals in Mount Carroll.

Kallen Jepson had nine points for Erie.

Fulton 67, Stockton 62: The Steamers held off the Blackhawks at the West Carroll Tourney.
