Immigration talk planned by YWCA

STERLING – An informal round-table discussion about immigration and its impact on Northern Illinois communities will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Jan. 26.

The public is welcome to this meeting, led by YWCA of the Sauk Valley staff, at Wesley United Methodist Church, 2200 16th Ave.

National, state, and local issues will be addressed. The topics will include citizenship and some of the generally-voiced concerns and misconceptions regarding immigrants, such as welfare rolls and employment.
