LYNDON – Lawrence L. “Larry” Marshang, 54, of 15499 Mohawk Road, Lyndon, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at his home.

He was born Jan. 10, 1959, in Sterling, the son of Lyle and Leona (Williamson) Marshang. Larry was educated in the Sterling grade schools, and was a 1977 graduate of Sterling High School. Larry also completed the G.E. Apprenticeship Program in Morrison. He married Rhonda J. Port on July 2, 1981, in Morrison.

Larry was employed by General Electric Co. in Morrison until its closing. He then was employed at Climco Coils in Morrison. Larry currently was employed by Wahl Clipper in Sterling. In his younger years, Larry was passionate about riding motorcycles, and raced motocross. Larry was a zealous fisherman, and was a former member of the Whiteside Area Bass Club. Above all, Larry’s highest priority in life was his wife and sons.   

Survivors include his wife, Rhonda; two sons, Quinn and Logan Marshang; one sister, Wendy (Bob) Cesarek of New Port Richey, Fla.; two brothers, Jim (Cindy) Marshang of Lyndon and Al Marshang of New York; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Per Larry’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral. Cremation rites have been accorded. Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison is handling arrangements.

A memorial has been established.
