PROPHETSTOWN – Justin G. Curtin, 30, of 13775 Howard Road, Prophetstown, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at his home. He was employed by Menk USA LLC in Sterling for 9 years.

Justin was born April 19, 1983, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Greg and Teresa (Tank) Curtin.

Survivors include one son, Jason Gregory Ray Curtin, his mother, Teresa Shere; his stepfather, Tom Shere; his father, Greg Curtin; his stepmother, Madeline Curtin; and his sister, Shana (Matt) Reutzel, all of Prophetstown; one brother, Brian (Michelle) Curtin of Davenport, Iowa; his maternal grandparents, Merle and Donna Tank of Oxford Junction, Iowa.; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Jesse Shere; and his paternal grandparents, James and Wilma Curtin.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Bosma-Gibson Funeral Home in Prophetstown. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Prophetstown United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Cheri Stewart, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Prophetstown.

A memorial has been established.
