Paul W. Graehling

POLO – Paul W. Graehling, 98, of Polo, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at Polo Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Paul was born June 21, 1915, in Polo, the son of Henry and Walberga (Beck) Graehling. He was united in marriage to Doris Harrolle on June 21, 1936, in Polo. Paul was an avid collector of many things. He was very interested in the history of Ogle County and an active member of the Polo Historical Society.

Survivors include his daughters, Lois (Charles) Parks of Polo, Rosalie (Gene) Behrens of Milledgeville, and Virginia (Dan) Dugan of Quincy; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris; brothers, Fred and Chester; and sister, Cora.

A private family service will be at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded. Polo Family Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Polo Historical Society and Serenity Hospice & Home.
