CGH celebrates home care month

Published: Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013 1:15 a.m. CST

STERLING – In honor of the nation’s home care professionals and volunteers, CGH Home Nursing and Home Infusion celebrated National Home Care Month in November.

The celebration pays tribute to the dedicated home care professionals who enable elderly, disabled, and chronically ill individuals to live their lives in their own homes.

“This celebration, sponsored by the National Association for Home Care, honors all home health workers who provide high quality and compassionate health care services to patients in their home,” said Judy Hentges, RN, BSN, CRNI, CGH Home Nursing and Infusion director. “We know that home care is critically important, as patients usually have better outcomes and quicker recoveries when they get an opportunity to heal in their own homes.”

She said the goal of the celebration was to let people know about the supportive and compassionate services home health is able to provide.

Rock Falls is considering a ban on leaf burning. Should the city finally take that step?
Yes. Sterling and Dixon have had bans for years. It’s time for Rock Falls to impose a ban.
