DIXON – Laura E. Troxell, 54, of Dixon, died Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She had been employed by KSB Hospital as a certified nursing assistant for 20 years. 

She was born Oct. 22, 1959, in Dixon, the daughter of Edward and Patricia (Warkins) McCoy. She married Robert Troxell on May 31, 1997, in Dixon.

She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Danielle McCoy of Dixon, Sarah Miller of Sterling, and Samantha Troxell of Dixon; one son, Kristopher Troxell of Amboy; four grandchildren, Quintessa, Tianna, Tristan, and Elijah; three sisters, Karen (Dick) Ely of Amboy, Jeanie (John) Aldrich of Michigan, and Lynne Doran of Princeton; and one brother, Mike (Julie) McCoy of Amboy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a stepdaughter, Ashley Troxell.

Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m., with a scripture service at 3 p.m., Saturday at Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Cremation rites will follow.
