Sublette Christmas celebration planned

SUBLETTE – The annual Christmas in the Village will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Ellice Dinges Center, 202 S. West St.

Pizza, sandwiches, hot cider, and soda will be provided by Route 52 Roadhouse. Free cookies will be available. Santa will arrive at 6 p.m. on a fire truck with treats for children.

An arts and crafts show, community caroling, door prizes, and a 50/50 drawing will take place. An operating model railroad and model farm layout will be displayed.

The Sauk Valley Humane Society will have a bake sale. Mendota Community Hospital will have a booth, providing free blood pressure and blood sugar testing, flu information, and holiday recipes. A gingerbread house contest will take place, with prizes awarded.

Donations of food, clothing, and toys for those in need will be accepted. Call 815-849-5242 for more information.
