ROCK FALLS – Michael Wayne Bryant, 54, formerly of Rock Falls, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Michael was born Dec. 12, 1958, in Sterling, to Kenneth W. and Mary (Stanfield) Bryant. He served in the Army.

Survivors include his parents, Kenneth W. (Paula) Bryant and Mary Bryant, both of Rock Falls; three sisters, Brenda Sue (James) Clayton of Lyndon and Debra (Albert) Clayton and Julie Batten, both of Rock Falls; one brother, Kenneth E. Bryant of Sterling; three step-siblings, Leslie, Daryl, and Lisa Quimby; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and one great-great-nephew. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; one sister, Marsha; and one niece.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday and a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Maranatha Baptist Church in Rock Falls, with the Rev. Scott Porter, pastor, officiating. McDonald Funeral Homes is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
