MILWAUKEE – Wipfli LLP, a professional services firm, announced that its Turnaround and Restructuring Services group was honored with the Turnaround of the Year Award.

Wipfli received the award for its role in helping Robinson Metal, a Midwest metal fabricator and machine shop, to recover following 2 years of fraud and embezzlement by its former controller.

In 2012, David Steichen, Wipfli director, along with several of the firm’s associates, worked with the company to stabilize its financial situation and to return the company to profitability. Steichen also won the award in 2010.

Wipfli was recognized on Nov. 14 at the Minneapolis Club during the Upper Midwest Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association’s “2013 Turnaround of the Year” event.

The company operates an office in Sterling.
