LAMAR, Mo. – Mary K. Miller, 98, of Lamar, passed away Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at her home. She was a kindergarten through 12th grade teacher in Compton and Mendota.

Mary K. was born May 13, 1915, in Lamar, the daughter of Louis and Loretta (Snip) Wolf. She married Dale Miller on June 11, 1943. He preceded her in death. She was a member of Mendota United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Louis Roy Miller, and his wife, Sherril Kleckner Miller, of Weston, Neb.; son-in law, Francis Orval of Belgium; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and other extended family members.

She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruby Loretta Miller Orval; her parents; and a sister, Margaret Wirts. 

Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday and the service at 3 p.m. Friday at Konantz Warden Funeral Home in Lamar, with Mark Turnbough officiating. Local graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Melugin Cemetery in Compton.

Memorials may be made to Barton County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Girls Town, or Lamar United Methodist Church.
