Mable G. Brackemyer

STERLING – Mable G. Brackemyer, 102, of Sterling, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at Sterling Pavilion Nursing Home. She worked at Frantz Manufacturing for 25 years.

Mable was born July 8, 1911, in the Pine Creek/Oregon area, the daughter of Hezekiah and Anna (Sprankle) Portner. She married Leonard Dean in 1929. He preceded her in death in 1957. She married Henry L. Brackemyer in 1962. He preceded her in death in 1989.

Survivors include one brother, Clarence Portner of Amboy; and several nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Helen “Sal” Tabill; and several brothers and sisters.

Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Riverside Cemetery in Sterling, with the Rev. Brandon Nelson officiating. McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls is handling arrangements.
