James B. Plog

MILLEDGEVILLE – James B. Plog, 90, of Milledgeville, died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013. He was employed as a truck driver for Plog Trucking.  

James was born Sept. 25, 1923, in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of George and Rose (Helfrich) Plog. He served in the Army during World War II. He married LaRue Geary on Sept. 18, 1948, in Milledgeville. He was a member of Milledgeville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of Milledgeville; two daughters, Polly Nobis of Milledgeville and Susan (Ron) Meador of Chadwick; one son, Tom (Perri) Plog of Milledgeville; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday and the funeral at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Milledgeville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Rosa Lee officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to Milledgeville United Methodist Church and the Milledgeville Fire Department.
