Woman still in serious condition

ROCK FALLS – A South Beloit woman injured in a crash Sunday morning on Interstate 88 west of Rock Falls was still listed in serious condition at a Rockford hospital on Tuesday.

Michelle M. Jensen, 37, was one of four South Beloit residents injured when an eastbound SUV rolled over about 9 a.m. Sunday, according to a news release from the state police.

All were taken to area hospitals.

Police say the car left the road onto the right shoulder before the 16-year-old driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to cross both lanes, enter the median, and then roll.

The three other people in the car, including the driver, were taken to CGH Medical Center. Jensen was taken to OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.
