LAKEWOOD, Colo. – Henry “Butch” Wiese, 89, formerly of Sterling, passed away Friday, Nov. 1, 2013, at Harmony Pointe Nursing Center in Lakewood.

Henry worked for the Daily Gazette in Sterling for 35 years as a pressman. He and his wife, Margaret, were longtime members of First Congregational Church in Sterling. When Henry and Margaret retired, they moved to Colorado to be near their children and grandchildren.

Survivors include his son, Ed (Peggy) Wiese of Denver; his daughter, Sheila (Matthew Nicholas) Wiese of Brighton, Colo; his sister, Rose Piltaver of Henderson, Nev.; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; his sister, Rena Clark; and his brother, Walter Wiese.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Nov. 16 at Lakewood United Church of Christ.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Lakewood United Church of Christ, 100 Carr St., Lakewood, CO 80226.
