Woman in serious condition after Sunday highway crash

All four in car transported to area hospitals

ROCK FALLS – A South Beloit woman was in serious condition in a Rockford hospital on Monday after she was injured in a Sunday morning crash on Interstate 88 west of Rock Falls.

Michelle M. Jensen, 37, was one of four South Beloit residents who were injured when an SUV driven by a 16-year-old boy rolled over about 9 a.m. Sunday, according to a news release from the state police. All were taken to area hospitals.

Police say the car left the road onto the right shoulder before the driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to cross both eastbound lanes, enter the median, and then roll.

The three other people in the car, including the driver, were taken to CGH Medical Center. Jensen was taken to OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.
