MOUNT MORRIS – Students at David L. Rahn Junior High School will honor veterans with a program starting at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the school, 105 W. Brayton Road.

The program is open to the public and any area veterans. The Boy Scouts will present the flag, and those attending will recite the Pledge of Allegiance. The school choir will perform the national anthem, and a choral reading/poem will be presented.

The choir will sing another patriotic song before Army Lt. Col. Jerry Newman of Oregon speaks. Newman then will answer written questions from students. Veterans will be asked to come to the front of the stage for introductions and recognition. The school band will perform “Armed Forces on Parade.” Taps then will be played.

Students will participate in activities before and after the assembly.

Call the school at 815-734-4825 for more information.
