POWAY, Calif. – Jodi Leigh Cosgrave, 37, of Poway, formerly of Sterling, died Tuesday, Oct, 29, 2013, at her home, after an extended illness.

Jodi was born Jan. 14, 1976, in Lake Forest, the daughter of James and Sheila (Mosley) Gabler. She attended Western Illinois University, Phoenix University, and Dale Carnegie. Jodi married Matthew Cosgrave on Jan. 22, 2012, in Santa Barbara, Calif. Her previous employments included director of collections business applications at RPost in Los Angeles, and senior vice president of sales and national marketing at Verifacts, Inc. in Sterling. She attended Abiding Word Church in Sterling.

Survivors include her husband, and three daughters, Alexis Matteson, 14, Avery Matteson, 8, and Abigail Matteson, 6, all of Poway; her parents of Sterling; four brothers, James S. Gabler of Ocean Beach, Calif., David A. Gabler of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Jeremy A. (Andrea) Steder and Corey J. (Gabriella) Gabler, both of Sterling; three nieces, Tessa, Christina, and Katherine; and three nephews, Gavin, Koltyn, and Graham.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Dorothy Mohr and Glenn Mosley; and her paternal grandfather, James S. Gabler Sr.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls.  The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Abiding Word Church in Sterling, with the Rev. Scott Porter and the Rev. Laura Root-Tanner co-officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.
