MORRISON – Pam Pfister, the interim CEO of Morrison Community Hospital, has taken the job permanently.

Board Chairman Don Beswick announced Pfister’s appointment as the permanent CEO in a news release Friday. She became interim CEO in the spring about the time the hospital ended its more than 20-year relationship with Mercy Medical Center in Clinton, Iowa, which served as the hospital’s management contractor.

Pfister joined the hospital’s staff in 2002 as an administrative assistant.

In her 11 years of service, Pfister has held positions such as clinic manager, material logistics manager, human resources director, and clinic renovation project manager.

She has a bachelor’s degree in health care administration and organizational management.

“The board has been impressed with the depth of operational knowledge Pam brings to the table, …” Beswick said in a news release, “as well as her open-door approach to team-building and problem-solving, for the benefit of Morrison Community Hospital, our patient base and our employees.”
