Grave restoration topic of meeting

STERLING – Sterling-Rock Falls Historical Society members will hear a program about restoring veterans’ grave markings at 2 p.m. Sunday in Ryberg Auditorium at CGH Medical Center, 100 E. LeFevre Road.

Pat Gorman with the Lee County Historical Society will be the presenter. Gorman received an Illinois Genealogical Society award in 2012 for restoring or replacing grave and gravestone markings at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon, and for erecting a World War I service plaque at Veterans Memorial Park in Dixon.

The meeting is open to anyone with an interest in grave restoration. Call 815-622-6215 for more information.
