Two charged in apartment burglary

One suspect charged in park vandalism

ROCK FALLS – Police have arrested two Rock Falls residents in connection with a Sept. 29 burglary at a Rock Falls apartment.

Police say several iPods, movies and jewelry items were taken from the home.

Adrienne Hartsell, 24, was arrested on charges of theft.

Cameron Keefer, 23, also is being charged with residential burglary and burglary. He originally was arrested on charges of criminal damage to government property in the vandalism that occurred throughout the summer and early fall in Rock Falls, most notably at Centennial Park.

Officials estimate the cost of the damage could reach into the thousands. Keefer is charged with two counts of criminal damage to government-supported property related to the vandalism.

Hartsell was given a notice to appear in court, and Keefer remains in Whiteside County Jail on $50,000 bond.
