Coach Ken Decker leads the Newman team in prayer before its flag football game against the Dixon team during Sterling's first Touchdowns for Ta-Tas women's flag football tournament Saturday on Sterling Chevrolet Field at Roscoe Eades Stadium. Preliminary estimates of the proceeds are about $30,000, according to Melissa Ryan, one of the event organizers. The money will be used to help those affected by breast cancer, through the work of Home of Hope Cancer Wellness Center, CGH Health Foundation and Hospice of the Rock River Valley.
