Roy ‘Bill’ Kline

TAMPA, Fla. – Roy “Bill” Kline, 87, of Tampa, formerly of Polo, passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013. He was a linotype operator at the Chicago Sun-Times and other newspapers.

Bill was born in Milledgeville. He was a veteran of the Navy, serving in World War II.

Survivors include his daughter, Jodi Carter of La Crosse, Wis.; stepdaughter, Arliss Loveitt of Tampa; stepson, Ronald Matteson of Washington; five stepgrandchildren; numerous step-great-grandchildren; sister, Donna Berry of Sterling; extended family; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lila.

There are no services. Florida Mortuary Funeral & Cremation Services in Tampa, is handling arrangements.
