DIXON – Roadwork will start Tuesday, weather permitting, on a 1.1-mile section of Palmyra Road from west of Swarts Road to west of Wolverine Road, between Dixon and Sterling.

State Department of Transportation staff announced Thursday that contractors will remove the existing surface before resurfacing the section of road. Drivers should expect daytime lane closures, and be prepared to stop for flaggers.

Work should be completed in 2 weeks. Call IDOT at 815-284-2271 for more information.
