ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Joseph I. Hicks, 83, of Albuquerque, N.M., formerly of Dixon, passed away Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at his home after a long battle with prostate cancer.

He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Dixon.

Survivors include his wife, Anita Hicks; two sons, Ken (Carla) and Jim (Penny); six grandchildren; and a sister, Rosemary Hoffman.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Ann Reeder.

A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Nov. 2 at Grace United Methodist Church in Dixon. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon.
