ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Ray Ellison Hook, 79, of Annapolis, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013.  

Ray was born in Tampico, the son of Ellison and Anna (Klockenga) Hook. He was raised in Sterling. He was honorably discharged from the Army. He later retired from the Naval Academy, where he was a motor vehicle operator. 

Ray was a member of American Legion Post 7 in Annapolis, Annapolis Elks, and Annapolis Moose. He also was past post commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 304 in Annapolis.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hook; daughter, Deborah Collins; and three siblings, Marilyn (Jim) White, Elsie (Bud) Iben, and Donald (Doloris) Hook.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Joyce Adair. 

Services will be private. Lasting Tributes Cremation and Funeral Care in Annapolis is handling arrangements.
