DIXON – Jeannette McDonald of Dixon died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Jeannette was born Feb. 4, 1936, in Chicago, the daughter of Wilma and Jimmie Lee Harris. She was united in marriage to Leonard McDonald on June 8, 1958, in Chicago. Jeannette was employed with Nachusa Lutheran Home, and Travelers Aid International, where she retired.

Jeannette was an avid bowler, and held a position as president of the National Bowling Association.

Surviving are her two sons, Michael (Desseri) McDonald of Denver and Myles “Bookie” McDonald of Minneapolis; a sister, Eleanor (LeRoy) Lumzy of Dixon; and a host of nephews, nieces, grandnephews, and grandnieces.

There will be no services.
