Dixon park director to speak in Freeport

FREEPORT – “Introducing Amboy Marsh Sanctuary” is the topic of the November meeting of the Northwest Illinois Audubon Society.

The group will gather at 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. John United Church of Christ, 1010 S. Park Blvd.

Deb Carey, Dixon Park District executive director, will discuss her part in the preservation of  the Amboy marsh, which provides habitat for endangered and threatened species.

Refreshments will be served after the meeting. There is no charge; the public is welcome.
