Comptroller offers financial program

OREGON – A free program to help area residents deal with financial issues will be presented at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Rock River Center, 810 S. 10th St.

The program, Take Charge Illinois, was created by state Comptroller Judy Baar Topinka’s office. Topics will include the basics of budgeting, credit card education, identity theft, scams, and fraud concerns. A member of the Office of the Comptroller’s Consumer Affairs Division will present the information.

Reservations are not required, but will be accepted. Call the center at 815-732-3252 for more information.
