Library to sell videos by the bag

WALNUT - Walnut Public Library, 101 Heaton St., receives book donations daily.

All duplicate titles go into the book sale section. Books are available through the Bag for a Buck program.

There are many current titles, as well as nonfiction and Christian.

The library is closing out its VHS section. Customers may purchase a bag of tapes for a $1. Older working and not-so-good working tapes, as well as audio books on cassette can be purchased. If lacking a VHS player, old tapes can be turned into craft cases, picture frames, hair bows, and bookends.

Preschool Story Hour will meet at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. The group will meet again  Nov. 13 and  27.

The current fundraiser for a new heat, ventilation, and air conditioning unit is Celebrating Home. Home decor, candles, and pre-mixed cookie dough will be sold There also will be baked and ready-to-eat goods individually wrapped and gift boxed. 

The library is looking for old DVDs to be donated. Donations can be brought to the library.

Library cards are available to residents at no charge. The cost for those who live out of the Walnut Township area is $65.

The library will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, as well as Nov. 29 and 30.
