Moose get ready for homecoming

STERLING – The Sterling Moose will have a homecoming dance from 7 to 11 p.m. Nov. 2 at the lodge, 2601 E. Lincolnway.

The theme will be “Wonderful Tonight.” Tickets are $8 for singles and $12.50 for couples, and can be bought from the lodge bartender. Proceeds will go to the building fund for upkeep at the lodge.

The dance will be open to the public. Steve Kerber will be the disc jockey. Those attending can come dressed from the year they graduated high school.

A 50/50 raffle will be drawn. Tickets are $1 each or $5 for six. Call 815-625-0354 or 815-441-4072 for more information.

Chili cook-off part in Mount Morris

MOUNT MORRIS – Mount Morris Moose Family Center members will host a chili cook-off Nov. 2.

The contest will start at 2 p.m., with the judging at 5 p.m. Bingo will be played at 5:30 p.m.

A $10 entry fee will be charged for each chili entry. Prizes will be awarded in two categories – hottest and most creative. Concessions will be available. For more details, call 815-973-1490.
